Mr. Lewis Edward Worthen, Jr. Age 87 Died Sept. 24, 2010 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac. Born February 22, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen Worthen. Loving Father of Deborah Lynn Haymond, Mary Christine Worthen, Elizabeth Anne Colwander, and the late Donna Lee Ritter. 12 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren, Predeceased by granddaughter Ingrid Johnson. Lewis attended the University of Detroit. He was a WW II Army Veteran; retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Post 84 and a 32˚ Mason Northwood Ancient Craft 551. He was a squire at Meadowbrook Hall, and he served as a Christian leadership instructor for Gabriel Richard. A Memorial service will be held on Wed., Sept. 29, 2010 at 1 P.M. at the Rose Chapel of Roseland Park Cemetery, 29001 Woodward Ave., Berkley, MI 48072 officiated by Rev. Frank Berge.
