Linda was the heart of her family – a devoted mother and proud grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Whether it was cheering from the sidelines, attending school events, hosting holiday get-togethers, or simply offering a listening ear, she made each of her loved ones feel uniquely valued and endlessly supported.
Linda also carried a deep love for travel. She found joy in exploring the world with her children and grandchildren. From “the tube” in London, the castles of Ireland and Disney, or sailing the open sea, her favorite place to be was anywhere her family was.
She lived with kindness, resilience, and a generous spirit. Her laughter was contagious, her advice steady and wise, and her love constant. Though her presence will be profoundly missed, the values she instilled and the memories she created will live on through the generations she nurtured.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Amanda (Joseph) Kallenbach and Melanie (Christopher) Metheny; grandchildren: Natalie, Joseph, Lucas, Madelyn, and Meredith. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Griebe II; parents, Walter L. & Margaret A. (Martin) Smith; sister, Janet (Smith) Laesser; and brother, Richard L. Smith.
