Cookie was born in Detroit and raised in Hamtramck. She was the family Matriarch- always full of energy, loyal, compassionate, and extremely intelligent- overall one tough Cookie. At the age of 16 she went to business school and became a business owner. Cookie co-owned and ran Popkie Paint store for many years. She was a devout Catholic, belonging to St. Matthew in Detroit and St. Thecla in Clinton Township. Cookie enjoyed reading, watching baseball, baking and tending to her raspberry garden for many years. She loved to travel to Clearwater FL, and spend time at the cottage in Oscoda with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Cookie is survived by her children, Victoria (John) Toth, Daniel (Cheryl) Adams, David (Beth) Adams; grandchildren, William (Holli) Webb, Barbara (Kristen) Lasecki- Webb, John (Alexandrea) Toth, Daniel Adams, Brian Adams, Christopher Adams, Sarah (Austin) Paul; great-grandchildren, Jacob Webb, Julia Webb, Robert (Mia) Brown, Joshua Brown, Joseph Brown, Piper Lasecki-Webb, Victoria Lasecki- Webb, Zachary Adams, Alexus Adams, Andrew Adams, Madelyn Adams, Alayna Paul; great-great-grandchildren, Cecelia Brown, Luna Brown; nephew, Gordon Baglaj; niece, Gail Maison. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Arthur Adams; sister and brother-in-law, Gloria (George) Baglaj.
A visitation for Cookie will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a 7:00 pm Rosary at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035. An in state will occur Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Thecla Catholic Church, 20740 S Nunneley Rd, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035. Burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
