I knew Lorraine from MCREST, but I was saddened when she could no longer continue. Lorraine was a smiling face at the end of our week when I was tired and trying to get our facility back in order, she had a kind word and always thanked me for what I was doing. She loved helping the homeless through service by doing laundry for the churches and sent me a card every year. Her simple kindness was appreciated and always made me smile. So it was with sadness and tears that I received the news of her passing, but also with a smile and immense joy as I know that she is now resting in the arms of her Lord & Savior.
I am sure you all remember her lovingly as her family for a great many reasons, but I wanted you to know how much she meant to us as well.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Lorraine. I only knew her as "the laundry lady" for MCREST, but each year she showed up at the church, usually early, and loaded the homeless family's bedding to be washed. She was always happy and friendly, and she was missed this year when she was unable to be there.
