Lucina was born on May 30th, 1946 to Delfin and Eligia Chavez in Cuenca, Batangas, Philippines. She was 1 of 10 siblings. After Lucina graduated from Cuenca Institute High School, she went on to study at the University of the East. After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting, she passed the CPA Board Exam. In 1969, Lucina met Federico Agustin. They were married on December 22nd, 1974 and had one child, Eric.
Lucina traveled the world extensively with friends and family. She loved seeing and learning about new places. Lucina was a gifted professional and accountant. She began her career in the Philippines as an auditor and went on to work in the United States Defense Industry for many years. After retiring from the Defense Industry, she continued her professional accounting career with CBS Media. After retiring from CBS Media, she continued her world travels.
Lucina was a faith-filled Catholic. She loved Jesus and Mary. Lucina loved serving her Catholic community at St. Michael’s in Sterling Heights as a sacristan. She delighted in her KKPM Joy of the Lord prayer group.
Lucina was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and beloved Lola. She cherished her siblings and loved visiting the Philippines.
Lucina is survived by her loving husband Federico, her son, her daughter-in-law, 8 grandchildren (Isaiah, Ethan, Owen, Xavier, Anthony, Monica, Maria, Gianna) 4 brothers, and 5 sisters (Cleofe, Juanito, Iluminada, Luzeta, Cesar, Manuel, Josephine, Mercedes, Roberto). She will be sorely missed.

A Memorial Visitation for Lucina will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
The family will greet guests Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM up until the Memorial Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48313.
