My Condolences to Mr. Powers and all of the Powers family.  Mrs. Powers always welcomed you and was a very kind woman.  She loved to have her family around her, especially at the large Christmas parties at her home.  She will be a welcome addition to the angels around us!

We spent July 17th celebrating the life of my grandmother.  It was odd...seeing her so still. You would have never known she was 94...she had a ton of energy, always being one to get right down on the floor to play with whatever children were around. She never forgot an important life event, and always had a kind word and a smile. She will be missed by all of us, most especially by my 101 year old grandfather. Love you, grandma! We were blessed to have you as a part of our lives.

I first saw Mrs Powers for the first time at Sunrise Shelby on 8/9/13.  As always, I came with no expectations but in the brief period that I was treating Margaret & Stanley, we developed mutual admiration & respect for each other.  She epitomized the saying that "the home stands on the woman & not on the ground".  She was a very caring person and I found that my how are you? were always rebutted with her own how are you?

Sometimes happy.  Sometimes blue.
Glad I ran into you.
Will tell all people that I saw you passing through.

I'll see you in my dreams.

My prayers and thoughts are with you in this grief-stricken hour. We pray that God grants her eternal rest in heaven and that her soul rests in peace. 

Take comfort in knowing that your mother is in safe hands and is being taken care by angels.

I cannot really put into words how I felt about Margaret. When I first met her and Stanley it was the very first day they moved to Sunrise. I will always remember her and the conversations we had about her family and mine. She never forgot anything I said to her and always said she missed me when I wasn't there. Her and Stanley are an example to me how I would like to live my life.
