Maria Vitale Arena

Maria was born on March 16, 1923 in Mazara del Vallo, Sicily to Franca Ferro and Ignazio Vitale. On September 30, 1943, she married Salvatore Arena and had four children. She and her four children immigrated to America on June 24, 1965. Maria worked as a devoted employee at Hudsons as a seamstress for 21 years, before retiring in 1988. After retiring she devoted her life to taking care of her family, gardening, taking care of her grandchildren, and was very devoted to her God Jehovah. Maria was preceded in death by her husband Salvatore Arena, on March 10, 2005.

She is survived by her four children: Benedetta (Salvatore) Giametta, Pietro Arena, Franca Pank, and Enza Maria (David) Bailey; her twelve grandchildren: Jerry (Christine) Giametta, Paola (Daniel) Wilton, Salvatore (Annie) Giametta, Daniel Giametta, Serene Arena, Victor Arena, Anna Maria (Thomas) Briscoe, Benjamin (Ashleigh) Pank, Dennis Pank, David Bailey, Jonathan (Rula) Bailey, and Michael (Hayley) Bailey;six great-grandchildren: Joshua, Caleb, Noah, Gabrielle, Ava Maria, and Grant; and sister Paola Vitale Arena.

Visitation, June 19, 2015 from 2-9 p.m. and Funeral Service, June 20, 2015 12:30 p.m. (Instate 11:30 a.m.) at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield, Clinton Twp.
