Marie Large, 95, passed away on September 13, 2024. Born in Pennsylvania, she is one of nine children born to Thomas and Margaret Large. She was a graduate of Western Michigan University and Wayne University after which she taught kindergarten for decades in Oak Park. As an active member of St. Michael Christian Services she continued a legacy of giving. She is survived by a brother and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by four sisters and three brothers. A memorial mass to celebrate Marie’s life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Michael Ladder Fund, St. Michael Catholic Community, 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313.
