Marie McNally passed away on Jan. 2, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Howard, she is survived by her children, Ann (Rod) McHugh, Howard, Jr. (Chris), Mary (Mike) McConnell, Jim (Ellen), Tish (Jim) Wirth, Tim (Shelly), Tom (Julie), Lawrence, and John (Renee). She was the loving grandmother of 16 and had one great-grandson. She is also survived by her sister Ellen (Bob) Hecksel. She was predeceased by her brother, Myles Miller, and sister, Faith Czecha. Marie was born Oct. 26, 1929, in Lansing, Michigan. She earned her bachelor degree from Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati and worked as a medical technologist. After raising her family, Marie returned to college to earn her master’s degree in Theological Studies and served as the Hospice chaplain at Cottage Hospital and later as pastoral associate at St. Margaret of Scotland parish. She was a very kind, generous, loving woman who meant so much to all of us, and her deep faith inspired many.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 3-8 PM at the Resurrection Funeral Home, on Hayes Road in Clinton Township, MI. An in state will follow at 11:30 AM until time of funeral mass at 12 PM on Monday, January 7, 2019 at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township, Michigan. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Marie’s honor to St. Vincent DePaul. Aunt Marie will be dearly missed. She was very inspiring to me growing up. There were a lot of fun times and memories at the holidays and family gatherings. She and her family are in our thoughts and prayers.
