Marilyn M. McCarroll, age 82, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026. She is now reunited with the love of her life, her devoted husband, Dennis. Married for 33 wonderful years, Marilyn and Dennis shared a rare and beautiful bond—they were truly each other’s true love.
Marilyn was a loving and devoted mother to Darren, Kenneth (Thomas McCauley), and Melissa (Thomas Ahern Jr.) Ahern. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Brad and Rachael, who brought her endless joy. She was the dear sister of Robert (Betty) Nurak Above all else, her family was her pride and joy, and she would do anything for those she loved.
Marilyn had a remarkable connection to nature. She was an exceptional gardener with a wealth of knowledge about plants, always eager to share her wisdom. A true animal lover, she cared deeply for her dogs and birds and had a special gift for tending to injured animals with patience and compassion.
Her creative spirit shone through her love of embroidery, and she was also an avid rock collector, finding beauty and meaning in the natural world around her. Known by some as a bit of a “speed demon,” Marilyn lived life with energy and enthusiasm. She also had a huge heart for giving back, generously supporting charities and causes close to her heart.
Marilyn will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, her adventurous spirit, and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of compassion, curiosity, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
