It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marilynn Jean Seehase, age 83 of Christian faith, of Mt. Clemens, Michigan, on December 8, 2025. Born and raised in Highland Park, Michigan, Marilynn’s life was marked by love, laughter, and a passion for friendship, adventure, and especially family.
Marilynn was united in marriage to Charles Seehase on June 29, 1963, and together they built a beautiful life in Mt. Clemens, where they resided for nearly the entirety of their 63 years together. Their life together was further enriched by the birth of their three sons: Jeff, Todd, and Kevin. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished the time spent with them.
Known for her warm and friendly demeanor, Marilynn had a gift for conversation and loved to talk with others. She formed many close and lasting friendships throughout her life, particularly with her Pinochle and card game group, which she enjoyed for over 60 years. The joy and camaraderie from these friendships were among the greatest treasures of her life. Marilynn also enjoyed spending time at the Macomb County Senior Center, organizing card games with friends, and trips to the casino. A true lover of books, Marilynn was a prolific reader and enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and MSU Spartans football & basketball games.
Professionally, Marilynn worked for 15 years as a secretary with the city of Mt. Clemens. She took pride in her work and in the relationships she built with her colleagues and community.
Marilynn was an adventurer at heart, traveling extensively throughout her life. She proudly visited all 50 states, as well as Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and much of Europe, Canada, and Mexico. Later in life, she loved wintering in Arizona. Each new destination was a new opportunity for exploration, and her travels were an integral part of the life she lived with zest.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Charles Seehase; sons Jeff (Sheryl) Seehase, Todd (Rita) Seehase, and Kevin Seehase; cherished grandchildren Daniel (Kelsey) Seehase, Jeffrey Seehase, Julianna (Justin) Antoncic, and Charles Seehase; and treasured great-grandson Nathaniel, with great-granddaughter Virginia still on the way. She is also survived by her dear brother Robert (Renee) Crowe and numerous nieces and nephews.
