I was blessed to have this man I fondly call Papa Pete in my life. He was this giant presence in my life. As a child he was tall and mighty. He taught me to be early for everything, to always do your best, and that working hard is most important. He wasn't always a gentle soul but he truly loved his family. As he grew older and became more dependent on others I was able to see his vulnerability and his joyful heart more clearly. I know he is with Grandma Grace again, his brothers, parents and his daughter. Kiss my father for me, Grandpa. You will be greatly missed.
