Marvin had a love of hockey growing up, playing youth hockey starting at age 5. He was an avid follower of the Red Wings and the Detroit Lions. Marvin also loved the art of fly fishing, which he learned from his grandfather. He graduated from Chippewa Valley High School and Northwood University. Marvin was employed by Fetz Engineering until it’s close, moving onto IAC and upon his death, was employed by Draexlmaier in Duncan, South Carolina.
Marvin is survived by his mother, Heidi; his two brothers: Ronald and David; and his three children: Amanda, Ryan, and Olivia. Marvin also has five nieces and nephews: Danielle, Adel Hoglund, Delana, Derrick, and Vaughn.
Marvin was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene Hoglund (née Fetz), and his father, Alfred.
There will be a memorial service on January 31, 2026 at Kaul Funeral Home on 35201 Garfield Rd. in Clinton Township Michigan at 11 AM.
