Mary A. Lafata (nee Alongi) age 93, formerly of St. Clair Shores, passed away on February 21, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Lafata and loving mother of Paul S. (Mary) Lafata, and Bernadette (Robert) Willaert. She was the grandmother of Eric (Rachel) Willaert, Amanda (Neil) Kocan, Paul J, and Marissa Lafata. She is survived by her brother Charles Alongi and was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Grace, John, Nick, Jack, Phyllis, and Sally. Visitation will be Thursday, 2-9:00PM, with prayers at 7:00PM, at Resurrection Funeral Home 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. A funeral mass will be held Friday 9:30AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mt. Clemens, 48043. Additional visitation will be at the church 9-9:30AM. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery.
