Mary Licavoli, age 100, passed away July 18, 2018 in Sterling Heights, Michigan. She was born November 29, 1917 to Constance and Paul Licavoli. Mary was the dear sister of Sam (Katie) of Kansas City, Missouri, Angeline, and Grace (Jim) Lucido, all deceased. Devoted and loving aunt of Connie (Dan) Fleming of Kansas City, Jack (Marge) Lucido, Paul (Stella) Lucido, Sam (Paulette) Lucido and Connie (Thom) Lipari. She was also a great aunt of 15 and a great-great aunt of 26. Mary never married or had children but she dedicated her life to her vast extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Mary loved to cook, especially Italian specialties and she took great pleasure in delighting the family with manicotti, pinulata and her delicious “S” cookies. She also loved to dance and travel. After she retired from her 30-year career at Chrysler Corporation, Mary travelled with her sister Angie to Italy and to Hawaii, both extensive plane trips in spite of having been in a plane crash in Mexico City in 1969. Mary was hard-working her whole life as well as savvy, sharp and generous, particularly with her family and anyone she heard about who was having some financial difficulty. She was also very dedicated to Fr. Solanus Casey and a supporter of The Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Mary, our aunt, our cousin, and our friend will be greatly missed.
