Mary C. Piper, age 79 of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away on August 11, 2023 surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Joseph Piper, who preceded her in death in 2008; Loving mother of Glenn Piper and Kathleen Piper; Treasured grandmother of Kandace Armstrong (James), William “Bubba” Hartwell Jr, and Ronald Hartwell; Cherished great-grandmother of Aurora Armstrong and Amayah Armstrong; Dearest sister of the late Suzanne Estes and the late Veronica Wolshon; also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.
Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was an amazing cook, especially her homemade spaghetti sauce that she learned to make for her Italian husband. Mary enjoyed shopping, and was great with crocheting and knitting. She absolutely loved Christmas. Mary would prepare for the holiday and leave up the decorations for as long as possible (she had many snowmen), owned almost every Christmas movie ever made, and had a large collection of Christmas sweaters. Most of all, Mary loved her family, they were the most important thing to her, particularly her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 1-8 PM, with a funeral service at 7 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038.
