Maxine Johnson Horn

Born Alma Maxine Johnson in Jonesville, Virginia March 14, 1926, she was adored by her parents Mack and Irene Johnson. Upon graduating from high school Maxine met and married the love of her life Preston Horn, they were blessed with three children; Billy Marsha and Brenda who they raised in Michigan.

After moving to North Carolina where they spent 28 years, Maxine and Preston helped create the Unity Church of Winston-Salem.

Alma is survived by her loving daughters Marsha Gray and Brenda Graves, seven grandchildren and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Preston and son Billy.

Alma was devoted to her family as a lifelong homemaker and seamstress, leaving her family with many precious memories of time spent together.

Alma's loving smile, quick wit, and comforting words will be missed by all who knew her.
