Michael Henry Tempalski (Tempo), age 55, slipped quietly away in his sleep on June 20, 2016. Mike fought against brain cancer bravely since last October. His wife Debbie and children Kyle, Missie, and John are all saddened by this loss. But the relief of Mike's pain is a minor blessing to this sad event.
Mike was always a guy's guy, tough but quiet. Honorable and fair with a wicked sense of humor. He slowly emerged throughout his career at the Detroit Medical Center as a knowledgeable IT specialist and QA analyst. Eventually transitioning to a computer consulting role with Compuware and then Locheridge for 36 years.
Each memory of Mike will always be cherished. Everyone knew Mike as a big Michigan State fan! He made sure to announce that State won against Michigan every chance he got. Some other memories involve his great cooking. He knew his way around a kitchen and would never cease to provide excellent meals, especially his pumpkin pies. Other memories consist of him playing basketball with his grandchildren in the backyard at every family event. Mike's sense of humor was one for the book, his one liners could never be beat. He was always so careful to details, and ensured things were perfect, but he will never admit to being a perfectionist.
His family includes his loving wife, Debora (Rebant) Tempalski; children; Kyle Tempalski, Melissa Sobiesiak (finance Mark), and John (Patsy) Sobiesiak and his late son Travis. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Teddi, Alese, Alexis, Antonino, Trinitee, and JJ.; onesSister Theresa (Frank) Sandercott; one brother-in-law Ronald (Ed Priebe) Rebant; adoring niece Amanda (Ralph) Gallo, and many other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his Mom, Rosemarie Tempalski who is very sadden by the loss of her son; in-laws, Frank and Loretta Rebant, who have heavy hearts over the loss of their son-in-law;
step-sisters, Kendra (Rick) Rozell, Kim Lenczewski, and Kathy (Bill) Fletcher; step-brother Dennis Cieslak; and his beloved Molly, "mans best friend" will greatly miss playing ball. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Tempalski and brother David Tempalski .
Our hearts are heavy to loose a man we loved and appreciated . May you always be our Sparty Angel watching over us. SPARTY ON! Michael "Tempo" Tempalski. SPARTY ON!
