Grandma had a great sense of humor and could have a good time in almost any situation. Her adaptability and resilience helped keep her going and in good spirits. She was truly one of a kind and will always be loved and remembered.

One of the very sweetest ladies I've ever known. She was so much fun and had a wonderful sense of humor. Plus she raised 4 beautiful children. She will be missed. Love you Aunt Mil. Rest In Peace.

I am fortunate to have Mom K as my mother-in-law and grandma to our kids. She was always so supportive and loving. We're going to miss her!

Mom. The woman who gave me my sense of humor. She loved to laugh. I'm guessing after raising Mike, Jerry and Carol, she needed a good sense of humor! We would sit in the living room or kitchen laughing our butts off over the dumbest things. Then start all over again. Our favorite was a commercial back in the 70's, I think it was for corn flakes. There was an indian in full headdress, eating a spoonful of something or other, then said the words "no good". Doesn't sound like much, but we would absolutely lose it. Thanks for everything, Mom. You were awesome.

Millie had a great sense of humor. We always had a great time, whether it was at our house or a restaurant. One drink was all that was needed. She enjoyed telling stories and jokes. I think she enjoyed my jokes as she lost her hearing. Lol

It's Grandma!  One of the only people I've known my entire life.  Her eyes lit up every time she would brag about being the one to carry me home from the hospital. She was funny, smart, and very sweet and caring, and will forever be missed.

So many of my happiest childhood memories involve Mildred and her wonderful family.  She was always my "second mother" and I loved her dearly...thank you Mildred for always making me feel welcome !!

There are very few Mothers that can deal with the drama of kids, especially girls and their friends in high school and always remain so cheerful and so calm.  My best memories were Mrs K moving the living room furniture, putting the records on and teaching we non-Polish 15 year olds the subtle nuances of a polka.  I still smile when I hear "I don't want her, you can have her....". God Bless this sweet funny nicest woman.

The woman with a small house, small kitchen, and a big heart. It was always FUN going there. She welcomed us, fed us, laughed with us, and loved having us. May Millie and Eddie dance lots of polkas in heaven.

Just thinking about all off the fun they must be having up in heaven. Mom, Dad, and all of their brothers and sisters and families back together again! Polka parties and Polish food! Love you all!

My fondest and most vivid memories growing up are from our family visits to Aunt Mil's house in Detroit, when her, Uncle Eddie and all of their kids were home.  The long tables set up in the basement during parties, playing Pong on TV and table hockey on the floor in the living room with Mike, Jerry and John, the little knitted toilet paper cover on the back of the tank in the bathroom.  And Aunt Mil in the middle of it all, laughing.  She was a big part of creating a happy childhood for me, my brothers and sisters. We'll all miss her greatly...

Even when faced with tough times, Grandma always knew how to smile and laugh. I loved growing up and spending time with her and Grandpa. I even brought my friends to spend our Senior Skip Day with them. I loved listening to them on the Polka station when they would do birthday shout outs and I loved watching them dance together. I'm going to miss her very much but I'm glad she gets to be herself again with Grandpa. Peace, Love, and Perogies for life!

I will miss Grandma so much. Whenever we'd stop by, whether by invitation or showing up unexpectedly, somehow she was ALWAYS ready for us!! :) :) She'd pull out that big tub of coloring books and crayons in the living room and I was happy as a clam doodling! (She even let me play with some of her jewelry :)...shhh dont tell the other cousins ;) ) She'd fill the kitchen table with as much food as she possibly could. You'd think we were celebrating Thanksgiving!!! Where did she have all of this food stored??!! I will never know! What I do know is whatever she made....it was alway delicious!! Grandma just wanted to make everyone happy! She was really good at it, too! Grandma was so sweet.... I'm really going to miss her but I'm so happy that she and Grandpa can be together again! Love you forever Grandma and Grandpa ❤

My memories of your beautiful Mother, Father and you children go way back to your home in Detroit and then visiting your Mom/Dad in the condo in Fraser where your Mom would always have a spread of food and my Dad's favorite coffee. Your Mom was the best hostess; always pure joy in her presence. May she rest in Peace with your Dad. You will always feel their love in your lives...you were the joy of their lives and always will be.

Aunt Mildred taught me the proper way to make a banana cream pie! My dad always said "it's close to Aunt Mildred's but not exact". I think he just wanted me to keep making them! I will forever remember her smile, laughter and positive attitude!

Millie was a very nice person that I knew for her last 5 years. I love and miss her!

Every time Brian and I went to visit her, he always teased her and regardless of how much she was struggling, she ALWAYS laughed. I wish I could be more like her :) Such a great sense of humor even when times were hard. Love you Kales xoxo

Many people have mentioned how mom and dad enjoyed dancing (polkas). They were also both fine musicians, and each played multiple instruments. Mom could play the piano and accordian. Dad the saxophone and clarinet. Music was a huge part of our lives, and I thank both of them for passing that on to us (although not one of us kids can play an instrument).

What a sweet lady Millie was. She always made me smile. (I will forever miss that smile..) In the couple years that I got to know her I fell in love with her. Her easy laugh and hugs sure made me feel good. The way she would joke around with my brother, their teasing back and forth, would make me laugh. I wish that I would have been able to know her longer.  Although it is difficult to have to watch our moms go thru all that they had to go thru, I believe because of them, I found a second family. Thanks moms❤  love you all xoxo

Millie was one of the sweetest, one of a kind people that I was lucky to meet and care for! We had lots of fun with her and shared many laughs! She raised a great family because it showed! She will be missed by many, but in our memories forever!

Il always remember how she would whip up a banana cream pie for us when we came to visit. Always with a smile and always glad to see us. Always in my heart always in my mind.

Aunt Mil always welcomed our big family to her home. She was loved by all of us immeasurably!  We will remember her beautiful spirit.......like after her strokes, when she would say something wrong and laugh along with us at her silly words. When I was a nursing student she would let me practice on her., like trying to take out her dentures or getting her up out of bed.  She made Jim and I an engagement cake with rings on top. And, she was the best cook ever!!!!

What a blessing Millie was to my mom. She & Ed were great next door neighbors, always watching out for her, taking her with them everywhere. I will forever be indebted to you. Always a smile & a joke. Much love to you. Thoughts & prayers to all of you.

Wishing you, Jerry and your family peace and comfort during this time.  Both my wife and I have gone through the loss of both parents.  It does get better over time. So sorry for your loss John. She decided to spend Christmas with folks she hasn't seen in a while. Praying for comfort.

Your mother was the kindest,sweetest woman I have ever met. I feel so blessed to have known her.  Her smile lit up a room; it was contagious. There are so many memories to cherish.  May God bless all of you at this very difficult time.

We have our own personal Christmas angel to watch over us now. As much as we will miss you so dearly, I am so glad you are finally free of physical pain and the emotional pain you felt from your inability to do tasks any longer. We were blessed beyond measure to have you for our Mother! We will love you and honor you forever, Mom!

There are so many memories, it is difficult to share just one. My Mom and Dad and brother and sister and their families all loved Mildred, or as Mom called her with a nickname: Millicent. Mildred and Eddie were among my parents' very best friends and that friendship strengthened and continued as the young couples started having their children. I remember when we children were young and went to visit at the Kalembkiewicz home. We always felt welcome and we always had fun. My mother and I picture her joining her sweet husband in Heaven and immediately dancing to lively Polish music. We were blessed to know her.

We're so sorry to hear of Mrs. K's passing. Obviously, she lived a long life with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren around her. We remember her and Mr. K. from our Mom's choir at St. Ignatius Parish. She was always a very dear lady to all of us Wagner kids. Mrs. K. and the entire Kale family are in our thoughts and prayers.
