My wife and I lived above Milt for 7 years, it was always a joy to stop and chat with him about his past and the state of the country.  I enjoyed the little time I had with him in passing, he will be missed.

Dear Milt,

"Just forget about it" you were famous for saying that, although you cared deeply for all in the family and of our concerns.  You showed us all what it means to have an opinion and believe in it.  These traits, plus so many more made you your own man.  A man respected.

Your zest for life never slowed.  If there was something to do you were in.   You were there at all our home and special events, boat rides, pick nicks, always having something good to say and ready to give a hand.  It'll be tough for any of us to fill the role of telling jokes the great way you could and filling a room with laughs and humor.

What I can say is you became my friend and we shared a true family bond. Your advice in good and bad times was truly supportive and appreciated.   Thanks for being there.  I'll remember the many projects we got involved in together.  What a team!  Everything always came out OK.  

You'll be OK and we all will as well.  You are missed!  Take it easy on those who you'll be playing cards with as you are an ACE, always a winner, and will remain top shelf in our minds wherever you spirit may take you.

It had been a very long time since I had seen you but you were always in my heart.  You were the rock for Ron, Carrie, Kim, Donald and their families.  You will truly be missed by them but I know They will  have piece knowing you are with your love and their Mom.

I am going to miss you so much! I already do. I always know what to say in most situations, but, I'm tearing up right now. We've had a long life together as a family with you, and I wouldn't trade one moment with anybody else. You loved my mom, and made her very happy. I'm so grateful for that. I know she made you very happy also. We all loved (love) you soooo much. You made us laugh with all of your jokes, and stories about your Mom telling your Dad to slap you when he got home from work, and she was going to tell him why, afterwards!You were so funny. I'm going to miss you coming over for dinner, or going to the cider mill, or the show. Or just hanging out at our house watching TV, or Mike doing work in the yard. You were a big part of Sean & Aaron's life as well. They loved to be with you always. They loved going golf with you. They are going to miss you always. This is the toughest part of life for me, is when I lose someone that I love. I know you are at peace now, you are with Mom. That's what's good. You're together again. Just always know, how very special you were in my life, and many other lives. You will be missed, and always thought of every day that I live. Please give my Mom a Kiss and a Hug from me. I will be with both of you, and my Dad one day. So, save some jokes to tell me.

Your passing has left a large void in my life and many others as well.
But you also Filled my life, with your knowledge, humor,companionship, and total love of family.

You may have been my stepfather in title, but you meant so much more.  You were not only a large part of my mothers life, but you were an integral part of mine as well.  Although I lost a very large part in my life with your passing, I must realize that having you in my life was much more gain than if you weren't in my life at all.  You were a great father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, but most important, you were a wonderful person. 

You have left a legacy that cannot be matched, but only copied.  A legacy that speaks volumes to all the lives you have touched, and the memories which will never fade.  

You have left me with nothing but great memories to always reflect, but more importantly, always share.
