Nan was kind hearted, strong willed; she had a calm demeanor and always put everyone before herself. On November 1, 1964 Nan married the love of her life, Donald Walczak, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, they had 44 years of marriage before Donald passed away. Nan worked at the Fraser CVS for 21 years. After retirement she moved to Green Valley, AZ for 10 years, where she loved the mountain views from her balcony, and only moved back to Michigan for health reasons. While in Arizona she often drove or walked the mountain trails finding new sites and she would take pictures of the nature. Her favorite place to visit was the Grand Canyon. Nan loved planting and maintaining her flower beds and hanging baskets; ferns, petunias, and butterfly bushes were some of her favorites. Nan enjoyed the simpler parts of life too, she had a true love of potato chips! She'd enjoy a bowl (or two) of chips with a pop every night- it wasn't uncommon for her to finish 4 bags in a week. Nan wasn't ever a big animal person- but that all changed when she met her newest granddog Tank last summer. Nan's warm and friendly smile will be missed by many.
Nan is survived by her children, Julie Walczak, Jerome Walczak, Dan Mox; grandchildren, David (Suzanne) Pesendorfer, Michael (Crystal) Crump, Matthew Crump, Christopher Walczak, Ryan Kittle; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Nevaeh, Jayden; a sister Agnes Patrick; her best friend of nearly 60 years, MAry West; her late husband's siblings, who have always been there for her, Delphine Floyd, Shirley Sing, Patricia Locke, Roger Walczak, Sharon Janos, Diane (Steve) Sharpe; and many nieces and nephews.
