Patrick Michael Schultz, age 86, of Fraser, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Patrick was born June 17, 1938 in Hamtramck, Michigan to the late Joseph P. and Helen E. (Maksimiec) Schultz.
Pat worked for the phone company for almost 40 years as a cable splicer and then went to school to work with computers. He took early retirement to spend more time with his loving wife and soulmate, Rickie. They were married for 19 years and together for 9 prior to getting married. After retirement Pat enjoyed working on and building computers. He loved helping family and friends with computer problems and would drop everything if he could help. Pat's favorite hobby was golf. He golfed with several friends, 4 of which (including himself) dubbed themselves the "Silly Suckers" (because they were silly guys who loved golfing but were not so great, they actually said they "Sucked".) Pat taught his wife Rickie to golf along with his brother-in-law Phil, and any of his sons who were interested. Pat served his country in a non-war time in the United States Coast Guard. He became a cook in the Coast Guard and really loved cooking.
Pat is survived by his children, Deborah Giordano, Paul Steffan, Rodney Steffan, Steven Steffan, Edward (Dawn) Steffan, David Steffan; grandchildren, Jamie, Kristine, Katie, John, Patrick, Tiffany, David, Mason, Kyle, Steven, Rodney, James, Robin, Daniel; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Anne (Dave) Patterson, Monica (John) Wachman, Mary (Philip) Thompson; nieces and nephews, Melissa Thompson, Deanna Thompson, Vivienne Thompson, James Keillor, Joseph Keillor, Laura Keillor, Anne Marie Adams, Michael Patterson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Robina; his children, Jeffrey Schultz, Kimberley Schultz, Teri Schultz, John Steffan, Joseph Steffan; and a niece Angela Keillor.
A visitation for Patrick will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a 7:00 pm Funeral and Military Honors at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035. Burial will be at Prestonville Cemetery, Shelby Township, Michigan.
