Paul Marcelli, Jr.

Paul Marcelli, Jr., age 97, veteran and successful businessman, peacefully passed away September 4, 2021. Paul was born August 8, 1924, in Detroit, MI, to Paul Marcelli, Sr., and Frances (Gabriel) Marcelli. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Maria (Leprotti) Marcelli, brother Edward Marcelli, and nephew Bryan Marcelli. Beloved uncle to D’Anne Marcelli, Cheryl (Dennis) DeLiso, Mark (Julie Falk) Marcelli, JoAnn Henderson, Don Henderson, and Gary Henderson. Great uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was a veteran of the Army and Air Force having worked in intelligence at the Pentagon following a tour in post-war Japan. He was an avid golfer, and in his younger years excelled in handball, squash, and racquet ball. He was a long-time member of the Dearborn Country Club, and for many years he and Maria wintered in Florida.

Modest about his many accomplishments, he was a successful businessman and entrepreneur. He was an enthusiastic supporter of his alma maters, De La Salle High School and the University of Detroit. He served as a mentor to many, always willing to provide sound advice and direction.

At his request, there are no funeral or memorial services planned. Entombment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp. MI.
