Paul earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University and later his Master of Education degree from Wayne State University. He devoted his life to education, serving as a beloved auto shop teacher in Roseville Community Schools for 50 years, where he retired. His dedication, knowledge, and compassion for his students left a lasting impact on generations of learners. Paul was honored as Teacher of the Year in 1988, received the H.J. Van Westrienen Master Teacher Award in 2005, and received the Louis O’Connor Hall of Fame Memorial Award in 2023.
What Paul cherished most about teaching was working closely with his students and seeing their success. He was deeply touched that so many former students continued to visit him through the years, a testament to the respect and affection he inspired.
Outside the classroom, Paul enjoyed working on race cars and spending time at his cabin in Ishpeming, Michigan—a place where he found great peace and joy. He was a valued and dedicated member of DRIVE One, where he continued to share his knowledge and passion by mentoring students and adults alike until recently.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Suzanne; his devoted children, Tamela (Mark) Blaszkowski and Paul (Tammy) Tregembo, Jr.; and his cherished grandchildren, Melanie (Benjamin) Berkobien, Kyle Blaszkowski, Joseph Tregembo, and Brandon Tregembo.
Paul will be remembered for his kindness, patience, humor, and unwavering dedication to his family, students, and community. His legacy of teaching, mentoring, and caring will live on in the countless lives he touched.
