Paul proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He planned and coordinated a weekly Veterans breakfast at the Country Inn. Paul was a faithful member of Utica United Methodist Church for over 40 years. He was a well-respected and awarded cartographer for the Great Lakes Survey in Detroit as well as NOAA in Washington DC. Paul was an avid golfer. He was a former past president and 40-year board member for his homeowners association. Paul volunteered for 26 years at Mt. Clemens General Hospital. He traveled the world extensively with his wife, Shirley. He will be greatly missed.
Paul is survived by his daughters, Paula (Denis) Maue, Karen (John) Harvey, Sharon (Rob) Hill; grandchildren, Daniel (Emily) Maue, Christina (Jonathan) Gariepy, Rebecca (Scott) Palokangas, Jennifer (Eddie) Chrisman, Ryan Hill; great-grandchildren, Creighton Jeffrey, Ellyanna, Violet, Langdon, Kara, Jaxon, Quinn; a sister-in-law, Glenda Warnick; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 69 years, Shirley; his brothers, Regis (Mary) Warnick and John Gary Warnick.
