Rachel Leona Landuyt

Rachel was born in Detroit, July 11, 1928. She was the only child of the late Emil and Mary

(Myny) Bulcke.

Her marriage to Oscar Joseph Landuyt was on October 8,1949 at Guardian Angel in Detroit and the two proudly shared 76 years together. Rachel took great pride in being a supportive daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Over the years, she enjoyed cooking, baking, golfing, playing cards, reading, and being around those she loved. She spent many years wintering in Florida, but always enjoyed being home in Michigan where you could find her taking a boat ride over to the cottage or enjoying the view of the North Channel from her deck.

Surviving are her children Donald (Karen) Landuyt of Bruce Township, James (Connie) Landuyt of Shelby Township, Robert Landuyt of Shelby Township, and daughter-in-law Judy Landuyt of Rochester; grandchildren Christine (Jesse) Snider, Rachel (Joe) Riedel, Michael Landuyt, Jacob (Elizabeth) Landuyt, and Alex (Lisa) Landuyt; and cherished great-grandmother of 7, family member and dear friend to so many.

The family honors Rachel and invites you to visit and share memories Friday, May 29, 2026 during a viewing from 10:00am-12:00pm and service immediately following at Kaul Funeral Home, Clinton Township.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Leader Dogs For the Blind. As a family we appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and sharing of memories.
