Raymond Christopher Mazzola was born July 10, 1934 to Virginia LaDuke (Mazzola-Pallas) and Dominic Mazzola. He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Jean. He is survived by his three daughters, Linda DeWilde, Doreen Cichocki, and Diane Dowse (Ken), his brothers Robert Mazzola (Linda) and Richard Pallas (Michelle). He was blessed with seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Ray grew up in Detroit, MI. Shortly after joining the Coast Guard, he married Jean Mitchell on August 8, 1953. After the service, he worked for Chrysler Corporation and General Dynamics, retiring in 1993.
Ray was a very kind, brave, smart, warm, and caring man. His family will miss him deeply but are comforted that he is now in the hands of God.
A visitation for Raymond will be held Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 2 - 7 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. A graveside service will occur Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11 AM at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, 621 W Long Lake Rd, Troy, MI 48098. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Raymond's memory to a hospice of donor's choice.
