From an early age, Ray loved cars. He attended College For Creative Studies (then Center For Creative Studies) in Detroit for Industrial Design and turned his passion into his career. Ray worked for various car-related companies before he landed his dream job at Chrysler, building concept cars for over thirty years.
Ray was known in the car community as a passionate enthusiast who regularly attended car shows and races in Detroit and the surrounding area and had a slot-car track in his basement that he built by hand. In his spare time, he also rebuilt a 1933 Ford Victoria (“Rocket”) and restored his 1985 Monte Carlo SS. (Both of which are now for sale!)
Ray was a kind man who also loved dogs, landscaping his beautiful yard, watching TV and tinkering around the house. He passed away in his sleep after a noble three year battle with cancer.
Ray is survived by his loving wife, Kathy, his step-daughter Kim Ray and his granddaughter, Stella. He will be greatly missed.
