Raymond Maxwell Slivensky, age 76, passed away on April 7, 2019; surrounded by his family in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is survived by his loving wife, Ida Slivensky; his cherished children, Raymond (Kelci) Slivensky Jr, Amy (Darrel) Weemaes, Michael (Rebecca) Slivensky, Jenny (Dale) Barnes-Jones, and Michael Barnes. He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Raymond is also survived by his sister, Carol (the late Jerry) Kranz, two nephews and one niece.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Maxwell (Mildred) Slivensky and his sister and brother-in-law Sharon (Lee) Brown.
Raymond was born in Detroit, and raised in Detroit and Royal Oak, Michigan. He enlisted in the Army after high school. Raymond proudly served his country in Panama. After he was honorably discharged from the Army, he worked for General Motors until his retirement in 1998. Raymond and Ida split their time between Michigan and Florida; enjoying camping, boating, traveling and eating out with family and friends.
