Uncle Ray and Aunt Erna visits were always one of the highlights of our trips from Minnesota to Michigan. I remember his hamburgers and the flowers in the beautiful back yard of the property they shared with Oma and Opa Jaeger for many years. We often spent time debating which route to take on our return and he usually pulled for the "northern route" of the UP with recommendations of good places to stop along our way. It was special when they came to visit us several times in MN and participated in the wedding of our oldest daughter.
Uncle Ray always seemed to have energy and stories! Our prayers are with you as you adjust to life without his presence there. We really enjoyed hearing more about his life in this service which honored him so well. They hymns chosen were meaningful. "It is well with my soul" and the Psalms chosen spoke of his love for Lord -- it was lovely to meet so many who loved and knew and worked with this man. Thank You!

Hi Tante Erna and Jeff
I have many fond memories of visiting your place when i was young. One thing I'll never forget was when you lived in that little white house up the driveway -- i was staying for a few days and it was a Sunday morning. I remember looking at a thick Detroit News Sunday paper and Tante Erna calling for ... "Ray" -- I thought to myself -- "who's Ray?" :)

Always fond memories going crazy in that pond while the adults paid NO attention as they visited with each other quietly nearby! :o)

I love that photo of Reinhold relaxing with (I assume) the first Rex.

I think Reinhold and Rudy, working together for those many years, was an ideal working relationship for both of them.

I'll always have fond memories of Reinhold -- a good uncle.

Dear Erna and Jeff,
We will always remember our visit to your house and also the Christmas store you took us to. The red cardinals song made an impression on my mind and the figurine that Reinhold bought for us is still proudly displayed in our living room. We fondly remember your kindness and extend sympathy to both of you. May God give you extra strength at this difficult time.
