Richard Keith Carraway Sr.

Richard was born in Detroit on January 29, 1932 to the late Marion and Virginia Carraway. He proudly served his country with the US Army from 1949 until 1952. He married Jeanette Julian in 1958.

Richard retired early from iron work and filled his retirement with travel, golfing, bowling, and more golfing. He lived his life to the fullest and loved spending time with his family.

Richard is survived by his wife, Jeanette; their children: Steve (Chaunette), Richard, Jr. (Jeanette), Bob (Cindy), and Jeff; grandchildren: Hala, Omar, Raelynn, Jessica, Richard III, Christina, Elizabeth, Sophia, and Jacob; great-grandchildren: Charley, Ivy, Roxy, and Zander; and brother, Ronald E.

He was preceded in passing by daughter, Leslie Carraway Mansoor; grandson, Keith; and siblings, Ron, Gil, Ross, Marion, Jim, and Mildred.

The family will greet guests from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Township, Michigan.

Entombment with military honors will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.
