Richard Roy Grenier (94) passed away on April 25, 2020 at his home at Church of Christ Care Center in Clinton Township MI. He was born on January 15, 1926 to Maime and Leroy Grenier in the city of Detroit.
Richard was a proud Navy veteran having served on the destroyer, USS Bennett, during World War II. He survived an attack on the USS Bennett by an Imperial Japanese Navy kamikaze plane. After returning home from his military service, Richard became an electrician. He enjoyed many hobbies including: hydroplane racing, golf, model building, wood working, music and reading. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Maime and Leroy, son Rick, brother Gene, and mother to his sons, Marian.
Left to cherish his memory are his son Greg (Linda), grandchildren: Eric (Sara), Nicole (Joe), Brandon (Melissa), Christine (Nick), James (Gabrielle); great-grandchildren: Tanis, Keison, Giana, Luca, Navey, Cristian, Julian, Adelina,Alexandra, Dillon, sister-in-law Sue (Gene) and family, and many more nieces/nephews, and loving companion Ethel Birko together with her family.

Monday, May 4th at 1:30pm there will be a short graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Rd, Clinton Township, MI. (Meet by office to process together)
