Richard F. Hine, age 87, passed away on October 19, 2022, after a long illness in Chesterfield, Michigan. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 21, 1935. He was a lifetime member of the East Detroit Masons and was a welder for Chrysler for over 33 years. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He leaves behind his beautiful, devoted wife of 66 years, Janice (Renno). They lived in East Detroit for many years before retiring to Florida where they resided for 20+ years. He also leaves behind his two daughters, Sharon (Dan) Mergaert and Diana (Joe) Biondo; three loving grandchildren, Amanda Mergaert, Nick (Samantha) Mergaert, and Anntaninna Biondo; his younger brothers, Dave (Alice) Hine and Doug (Judy) Hine, both of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, John at a very early age, and his parents Fred and Mabel Hine of Florida. A private graveside service will be held in Yale, Michigan, where he will be buried next to his son.
