Richard worked and retired from the roofing industry with the Roofers Union Local # 149. He also worked in other areas of construction including siding, concrete, heating & cooling and he was also a crane operator.
Richard loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and had been riding since the 1980's. He loved fishing, hunting, and his pets. He raised Angora rabbits in the 1990's and had 2 little Yorkies. Richard also loved food. He planted a garden, canned his own peppers, and enjoyed anything spicy or sweet.
He spent a great deal of time traveling, especially in the southwest - Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and California. He often brought along the Harley on his adventures and has ridden in many different states all across our country.
Richard is survived by his sisters and brother: Debbie (Don) Deeds, Francis Wawrzyniak, and Mike Yaworski; children: Michelle (Gregg) Grandy, Richard Allen Yaworski, and Ryan (Kelley) Yaworski; grandchildren: Ashley Hale, Justin (Rachel) Hale, Jenna Grandy, Kendra Grandy, Justin (Anisa Mathews) Pascoe, Kyle Yaworski, Matthew Yaworski, Noah Yaworski, and Colin Yaworski; and great grandchildren: Mason Pascoe, Emmitt Pascoe, Sutton Pascoe, and Rylee Hale.
Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Yaworski; parents: Frank and Kitty Yaworski, Genevieve and Dennis Coleman; brother, William Yaworski; and brother-in-law, Kim Wawrzyniak.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 3pm-8pm at Kaul Funeral Home - 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Twp, MI 48035. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 11am, with a gathering prior at 10am, at Kaul Funeral Home.
