So many fond memories of Mr. Mazzella (Robert). He was always a great friend to our family, especially my Dad. I was lucky to know him. We (Gregory & I) grew up as young adults during a time where everyone cared, they all helped and there was always a sense of comradery, friends and family. Most of the things missing in today’s world but I’m just thankful it was the norm in ours. The lessons taught, the laughter had, the love given, the way he cared for people…all those good things live on in his memories. God Speed Robert…

Bob was always so kind and considerate to my elderly mother and aunt that lived next-door.  A very good man who I’m sure will be missed by all that knew him.

My Son an I had played hockey 🏒 with Bobby at various rinks, St. Clair Shores and Mt. Clemens. He was relentless and always hustled on the ice, as if he was still in his 20's. He scored that occasional goal on me as he never quit trying, I always wanted to see him back on the ice, so he got his timely goals... 😉  I really think Bobby loved his other family, the hockey guys, as much as we loved him! You will be missed Bobby ❤ 💔 🙏 ✝️     Until we meet again ole friend!

This was a full day of pizza making school with Mother & Father Mazzella. We spent all day together writing down every little detail on how the make the best pizza in Detrot. I will miss you dearly, all the long talks  about life, recipes, cooking and advice. God loaned you to me for a season and I am very thankful for the time we shared. Now you are free from all earthly struggles and together forever in heaven. I love you and miss you.

We will always remember our relationship with Bob & Nancy. They were like family to us. We spent a lot of time with them over the years and we will really miss them.

My memories of Bob  on the ice go back to 2000 
When he started coming out to skate. He was always fun and a pretty good player for his age. As we became friends we went to Houston lake at his place numerous times   He loved fishing as much as I did spent a lot of time on lake on his boat with the other old guy hockey players . Him and his wife Nancy were a joy tone around . Bagels on Friday after skating  having the crew over for Christmas wonderful man. I will miss you Bob as will so many others that you touched. Our family goes back a long way with Bob and brother Rich. In fact Bobby coached my brother Tom and Rich on the 1956  East Detroit FOE Junior Hockey Team. In fact they won the Outdoor  Championship. 

Bob was a wonderful cousin and a wonderful human being.  I remember him always with a smile and good, wise, and kind words for everyone.  Our family is closely knit, even if we are far away.  We care for each other and that was the way it was for Bob.  He loved our mother and all of us very much.  It was a pleasure for me to go to Detroit to see him, his mother, aunt Susie, and aunt Cristina.  I still remember the bushel of crabs I brought from Washington, DC on one trip in the late 1970s.  The bushel broke in the baggage area and hundreds of crabs were crawling among the suitcases.  Bob courageously went in and picked up everyone and stuffed them in a plastic bag, saving the day and saving the crabs.  We had a feast.  I miss those days and will miss him. I played hockey with “Bobby” for many years, great man!!!! Rest in peace my friend!!!

I am so hurt this was my nieghbor  we use to always talk standing in the yard. He also use to give me fruits and vegetables and also made me some of his famous pizza and bread  i am going to miss you so much my friend
