Robert was the loving father of Kelly (Perry) Kountouriotis and Melissa (Michael) Schweier; dear brother of David (Sheryl) Thompson, Mary (Michael) Joiner, Susan Tozer, Beverly Jump, the late Kenneth Thompson, and the late John Nordquist; brother-in-law of Ann Thompson and Darlene Nordquist; uncle to several nieces and nephews; ex-husband and friend of Cynthia Teer; and son-in-law of Anne Ruokolainen.
Robert was always very proud of his work as a tool and die maker. Hard work was a virtue to him. He was also always family-oriented. He loved spending his time with his family. Robert was a very social person and has many friends that will miss him dearly. Robert had many passions in life but one of his top pastimes was golf.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30, from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. Memorial Service at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road in Clinton Township, Michigan.
