Roger was a calm, stoic, selfless, loving, caring and hardworking man. He always had a smile on his face, even at the most difficult times. Roger owned and rebuilt his first car at 13 and continued his passion in the automotive field throughout his life. He found great pleasure in relaxing on the porch whether home or up north reading a book, maintaining his lawn, keeping precision straight lines with each cut. Roger's favorite movie of all time was It's a Wonderful Life and he kept a tradition of watching it every Christmas. He truly loved being up North at the cabin. Roger was delighted that, just 7 days before passing away, he was able to fulfill his Grandpa dream of riding around the lake on the golf cart with Margot, she was the brightest of all the joys in his life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Karen; their sons, Chris Greene, Kurt (Leigh Ann) Greene; his granddaughter, Margot Greene; his mother-in-law, Joanne Damm; his siblings, Tim (the late Terri) Greene, Ron (Nancy) Greene, Keith (Judy) Greene; brother-in-law Kevin (Cindy) Damm, and sister-in-law Lauren (Rob) Weber; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Mabel Greene and his father-in-law, Ralph Damm.
