Roger R. Winkelman passed away May 24, 2013. He was 70 years old. Roger was born in Mount Clemens to Norman and Olive Winkelman on July 11, 1942. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Frank E. Evans before returning home to start his own business, Winkelman’s Machine Repair. Roger is survived by his best friend and companion Rhonda J. Elkins, his children Cheryl (Steven) Schuholz, Connie Carter, Carol (Robert) Tanghe, Roger S. Winkelman, Scott D. Winkelman, and Amy (Nicholas) Barra, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and his brothers Ronald (Sylvia), Ricki, and Randy Winkelman. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Reginald. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 4 at 11am at St. Paul’s Albanian Catholic Church, 525 W. Auburn Rd., Rochester Hills, 48307.
