Rosalie Salerno passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 96. She was the beloved Mother of Diane (John) Hawkins and the late John (Doreen) Salerno. The dear Grandmother of John (Jennifer) Salerno, David (Jennifer) Salerno, Tracci (Joseph) McEvoy, Jeff Hawkins and the late Matthew Salerno; step-grandchildren: Brandon (Nicole) Everett, and Justin Everett, the Great-Grandmother of 12 and Great-Great-Grandmother of 2. She was predeceased by her loving husband John, parents, Sam and Frances Camarda, and her siblings, Jimmy Camarda and Rose Randazzo.
Rosalie was very talented through her stunning knitting projects, intricate crochet work, handmade rugs, and vibrant stained glass. She was also a great cook, loved working in her garden, shopping and enjoyed her sweets. She loved God and was very active in her church, The Church of Jesus Christ, for over 70 years.
Rosalie was an early role model for women in business. After completing her GED later in life, she built a successful career and served for many years as a supervisor in the Bond Issuing Department at Comerica Bank in Detroit. Her determination and leadership were a source of pride to her family and an inspiration to those who knew her.
Visitation for Rosalie will take place on Friday, January 30, 2026, starting at 4:00pm until the time of service at 6:30 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township.
