Roy Dean Clinard, Sr., age 98, formerly of Roseville, Michigan, passed away on January 8, 2022. He was born November 26, 1923 in Springfield, Tennessee to Mattie Green Norman and Wiley Wilford Clinard. After serving in WWII Roy moved to Michigan and married Frances Sophie Anselm on December 1, 1946. He retired from Michigan Consolidated Gas Company in 1985.
Roy is survived by his children; Judith (Larry) Miller, Joyce (Bob) Hornberger, Roy Jr. (Kim) Clinard, Jacqueline (Mike) Stenzel, Jill Clinard, Steven (Diane) Clinard and Jo-Ann Clinard. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Roy is preceded in death by his beloved wife Frances, daughter Joyce, parents Mattie and Wiley, sisters Sarah and Maggie, and nephews Donald Wayne and Wiley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which was Roy’s favorite charity. Final resting place will be Christian Memorial Gardens West in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
