Ruby Gray Scripka

Ruby Gray Scripka, age 84 of Canton, Georgia; passed away on October 19, 2021. She was born in Wake County, North Carolina on November 17, 1936. She graduated from Hugh Morson High School in 1955, and Oakland University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a retired educator from Michigan, also teaching in Florida and Georgia. She was an active Catechist in each parish she attended and took pride in her ability to work with children and young adults.

Her gift of making friends and comforting others was admirable and she was the life of the party wherever she landed. Her greatest strengths were her openness, friendliness, and non-judgmental attitude and her smile was contagious. She loved to travel and recently was able to visit Israel and Spain. She is survived by her three children, Hal, Catherine, and Sandra and 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She will be sorely missed.

Her family will honor the memory of Ruby with a funeral mass at Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 490 Arnold Mill Road, Woodstock, GA 30188, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021.

Committal services for Ruby will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038.
