Beloved wife of the late Stanley J. Noga; devoted mother of Daniel (Sheri) Noga, Kenneth (Drena) Noga, Susan Corpe, and Kathleen (Doug) Marrs; proud grandmother of Eric and Lily Noga, Dea (Michael) Goodman, Danielle (Anastasios) Tingas, Stephanie (Anthony) Scianna, Emmaline (Scott) Crenshaw, August Corpe, Issac Corpe, Tyler Marrs, Shane Marrs, and Carter Marrs; great-grandma of Mikenna, Liana, and Dominic Goodman, Gabriel, Nicholas, Lucas, and Demitra Tingas, and Finnigan Crenshaw; dearest "adopted grandma" of Mishelle; sister of James Schuetzler and Dennis Schuetzler.
Ruth was born on March 13th, 1929 to Emil and Esther Schuetzler, the eldest of 3 girls. She attended school until the age of 16 when she quit to help out at home. Family was always first with Ruth, always the nurturer and caregiver, helping to raise her 2 sisters.
One of Ruth's favorite jobs was at J.L. Hudson in downtown Detroit. As singing was one of her loves, while employed there, she was a member of their choir still speaking of it so proudly until her last days.
Another of Ruth's favorite things to do was dance. Her first outing to the Graystone Ballroom in Detroit for her 18th birthday was where she met the love of her life, Stanley. Their shared love of dancing brought them together where they remained for 60 years, being married for 51 of those.
Ruth wore her "rose colored glasses", always sure that things were going to be ok. She lived for the love of her family. They were, above all, most important to her. Having the whole family gather at her little house in Eastpointe for Christmas and many other celebrations brought her such joy. She never gave up hope that she would return there one day to once again be able to sit on her porch on a hot summer afternoon where she could watch all the neighborhood activity.
Ruth also loved music. Her favorites were Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Mario Lanza and the Beatles, always encouraging her children and grandchildren to share in the joy of music with her.
As Ruth used butterflies on countless birthday and greeting cards as part of her signature, they will be a symbol of her love and presence forevermore. She was a devoted wife, Mother and Grama with endless love to give and will deeply be missed by all.
When you see a butterfly...you will know she is near.
