For over 20 years, Ryan served in the medical field working his way to ultimately becoming a nurse practitioner at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and with a local private practice, where he was a trusted provider and a compassionate healer. His patients and colleagues knew they could always depend on him—his work ethic was unmatched, and his kindness extended far beyond his profession.
Ryan’s devotion to his family was the foundation of his life. As the loving husband of Marissa and the proud father of Liam and Layla, he cherished every moment spent with them, whether relaxing at home, embarking on road trips, or simply sharing in the joys of everyday life. His friendships, many of which he nurtured since junior high, were a testament to his loyalty and the deep bonds he formed throughout his life.
An Eagle Scout and a standout student, Ryan graduated as the salutatorian of his high school, where he enjoyed his many wood working classes. He went on to earn both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees with honors, always striving for excellence. Beyond his professional and academic achievements, he had a passion for working with his hands—turning ideas into reality. Whether building tables, refinishing rooms, perfecting millwork, or crafting a Murphy bed, Ryan took pride in his projects. His meticulous lawn care made his neighbors envious, and his culinary skills, including his love for experimenting with a sous vide, made every meal an adventure.
Ryan found joy in the simple pleasures of life—camping weekends with his friends, golfing, watching and quoting movies, and embracing the freedom of unplanned road trips. He was generous with his time, loving in his actions, and endlessly loyal to those he held dear. His impact on the lives he touched was immeasurable, and his wisdom, kindness, and warmth will be profoundly missed.
