Sandra was born on December 16, 1945, in Oakland, California, to Trygva Selmer and Ruth Evelyn (née Smith) Iverson. She moved to Michigan during her high school years and graduated from Southfield High School. She later attended trade school, where she trained to become a medical assistant.
Sandra worked for a time as a medical assistant and also as a supervisor at a law firm. Above all, however, the role she cherished most was that of a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She devoted herself to caring for her family and creating a warm and loving home.
Fun, lovable, and bubbly, Sandra had a wonderful sense of humor and a personality that brought joy to those around her. She was also very creative and enjoyed putting her talents to use through a variety of crafts. She crocheted and knitted beautiful blankets, sweaters, and other special items for those she loved, and she also enjoyed the unique art of painting decorative ostrich eggs.
Sandra and her family shared many memorable moments together, including wonderful times spent on cruises. These experiences created lasting memories that will continue to be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
Sandra is survived by her loving children, Dan Culver and Kelly Swee; grandchildren, Jessica Swee and Jason Swee; and siblings, Michael (Donna) Iverson and William (Pam) Iverson.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Chandler; her son, Ronnie Culver; her parents, Trygva and Ruth Iverson; and her siblings, Kathy Iverson and Ron Iverson.
Funeral services for Sandra will be private.
