I am so proud of my nephew, Shawn. I wish he was here today to see how his passion and hard work has paid off. Detroit style pizza is known around the country and parts of the world because of him. I mostly miss his beautiful smile, positive attitude, and playing racquetball with him. I love you Shawn.❤️

I did not know you, but want to thank you for what you did.  
I just learned about you recently when a friend told me to look you up regarding Detroit Style Pizza.

I GRIEVE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. I WORK WITH CHARLES AND I AM SO SORRY THAT AT A TIME OF GRIEF HE COULD NOT BE WITH YOU BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC. YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS .

In 2014-2015, I was searching the internet to learn how to make Detroit style pizzas for my family. Nothing worked. After reading tons of information and trying many recipes that failed, I found Shawn Randazzo. He was offering classes for people opening pizza restaurants. I wrote and asked if I could learn even though I wasn't starting a restaurant. He said yes! In 2015, he came to my house in Canton with his mom, Linda, to teach me and two of my friends how to make his yummy pizza. They stayed about 4 hours and we had a lot of fun and learned so much. My family LOVES when I make pizza now and I have him to thank for sharing the recipes and his knowledge with me.  I think of him often when I make it and remember him fondly- such a  nice, nice guy!  I am so sorry for your family's loss. You will all be in my prayers.

Shawn was like the younger brother I never had. I am so proud him. He was the most positive, energetic, goofy, fun people in my life. He had an amazing wife and kids and did everything with them in mind.  I’m also so proud of him for putting Detroit Style Pizza on the world map! Needless to say, Shawn will be missed tremendously.  Although I did not know Shawn personally, I'm so very sorry to hear of his passing.  To his wife, children and all other family members, you have our heart felt condolences.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Shawn and I shared many laughs and memories throughout the past years.  Many, many years.  He was kind with a gentle loving heart.  Shawn will be missed by many.  He has earned his wings and is a sweet angel.  Rest EZ Bud, love you. 

I would like to offer our condolences on behalf of the Volpe family.  Our families have known each other  since our kids were in kindergarten.  Shawn was a super nice guy , and a great family man.   Your pizzas are out of this world great!  Whenever family visited us from out of town, top of the list was to order pizza from Shawn.    You will be missed.  I pray that Keri and the kids can get through this difficult time.  RIP Shawn
