Shirley Joyce Caponi, of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 90 years of age.

Shirley was born on February 12, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to William and Edna Annis. She married Gino Caponi on October 17, 1952.

Shirley is survived by her children: Richard (Michelle) Caponi, Judy Duerksen, and Robert Caponi; grandchildren: Andrea Caponi, Lauren (Aaron) Todd, Zachary Caponi, and Lucas Caponi; great-grandchildren: Ariella, Natalia, Connor, Gino, Makenzie, Landon, and Addisyn; and sisters: Nancy and Arlene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gino; grandson, Michael Caponi; and siblings: Marion, Robert, William, Evelyn, and Donald.

At this time, the family has chosen to remember Shirley privately.
