I am so sorry to hear the loss of Stan Filip, we always called him Stas, I worked with Stas at General Motors in Security for many years, he was a wonderful co-worker and friend.  I will always cherish the wonderful memories we had together.   May God bless his soul and may he rest in peace, my condolences to the family, I will truly miss my friend

My sympathy goes out to the Filip family on the passing of their love one Stash. After transferring from the closed Fisher Fort Street plant in 1991, Stash and I worked the midnight shift at the Truck and Bus plant on Piquette street for most of the 2 1/2 years that I was there. I retired from General Motors in 1993. Stash and I became good friends and working partners. It was an honor to have known him. God bless you Stash.

I am a close friend of Stas's son Dan. I met Stas only once briefly many years ago, but it was long enough to experience his effusive warmth and cheer. I can only project many other good qualities from seeing those qualities in his son Dan, that Stas surely had a major hand in planting. My condolences to Dan and the rest of the family. God Bless Stash and his family! He was a good friend and a good union man in the old UPGWA Union. We had a lot a

To the family of "Stash" Filip. Please accept my most heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I lived on Harold Street in Detroit across the street from John, Mitchell and Stan. Mr. Filip was my football and track coach at Salesian H.S. in Detroit from 1962 to 1966. He coached me to the school record in the mile run 4:35 sec. Being neighbors he was also a good friend of our family. Mr. Filip was a fun loving good hearted man who always had a good word to say to or about you.
