Stephen Thomas Gore passed away on May 20, 2024, at the age of 78. Stephen's life was defined by his boundless intelligence and his passion for aviation and boating. As a skilled pilot, he owned and piloted two charter planes, finding immense joy and freedom in the skies. His love for flying was matched by his enthusiasm for boating and taking his family out on the water every chance he had. He enjoyed model planes and cars, a hobby that showcased his meticulous attention to detail and inventive spirit.
Above all, Stephen was a devoted grandfather who adored his grandchildren. He took every opportunity to spend time with them, creating cherished memories and spoiling them with love and affection. His presence brought immense joy and warmth to his family, and his legacy of kindness and generosity will be forever remembered. Stephen's life was a testament to his dedication to family, his intellectual curiosity, and his zest for life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Stephen was the beloved husband of Lottie Gore for 42 years. He was the loving father of the late Stephen Gore, Michael (Missy) Gore, Christopher Twarowski, and Richard (Kim) Twarowski. Stephen was the cherished grandfather of Christopher, Keegan, Shirleyanna, Lee, Kamryn, Michael, and Landon and great grandfather of Liam. He was the dear brother of Janet (Ralph) Hixson.
Visitation for Stephen will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a scripture service at 7:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township.
