Suzan Ann Schiedel

Suzan Ann Schiedel, born June 5, 1958, in Detroit to Cecil and Shirley Schiedel, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025 at the age of 67, surrounded by family and friends. She attended Southwestern High School before following her passion for beauty and creativity by enrolling in floral school.

Suzan’s love for her family was the cornerstone of her existence. She was the devoted mother of Robbie Schiedel, Vicki (Jeff) Mecum, and the late Kenneth (Bobbie) Schiedel. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Lillian, Lauren, Haley, Ashton, Zac, Hanna, and Emma, and her two great-grandchildren, Skyler and Zavion. Suzan’s heart was also closely bound to her lifelong friend, Cheryl McKay, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond of love and support.

To her brothers and sisters, Suzan was a constant source of love. She is survived by Al (Sue) Schiedel, Charlene (Kent) Walmsley, Louise (Jesús) Schiedel, and Mike (Debbie) Schiedel.

Her devotion to family was immeasurable. Whether raising her children, caring for her grandchildren, or offering a shoulder to lean on in times of joy and sorrow, she was the steady rock of her loved ones. Her warmth, strength, and unconditional love were felt by all who knew her.

Suzan’s spirit was as vibrant as it was fierce. She had a feisty side when needed, but it was her infectious laughter, lightheartedness, and boundless warmth that made her unforgettable to all who crossed her path.

Suzan will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
