Suzanne was the dear stepmother of the late Charlotte Oxley, loving sister of Gary (Wendy) Mitter, and sister-in-law of Walter (the late Nancy) Oxley, and Patricia (the late Robert) Denault. She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Suzanne was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Antoinette and William Mitter.
Throughout her life, Suzanne found great joy in ballroom dancing, competing in car shows, and her love of dogs. She was a lifetime member of the USMA and ISA, where she enjoyed showcasing several cars alongside her husband, Carl. Among all the cars they shared, her favorite was her beloved 1971 Torino.
Suzanne will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love of life, her passion for classic cars, and the many special memories she created with her family, friends, and Carl by her side. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation for Suzanne will be held on Wednesday, August 19, from 3:00–7:00 p.m. at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Suzanne’s memory to Detroit Dog Rescue.
